A huge welcome to Scott VanBuskirk, who joins Overwound as our new Bass Player.
Originally from Moncton, NB, Scott brings a wealth of experience laying down a solid rhythm section. He has played with Sheldon Gordon & The Tone Kings, Eddie Rebel & The Petty Thieves, The Stratified, The Refugees, Tony Scott & The Miketastics, and Waters Edge. His influences are the guys that support the song, such as Leland Sklar and Donald Duck Dunn. He’s also a big fan of players like Jack Bruce and Tommy Shannon for their ability to fill out the sound in a trio environment.
Also, a shout out to Tom Demerson, who retired from active musician duty after 5 years as a member of the band. Tom and his partner are living the retired life in their ocean-view chalet in southern NB.
